Graduate Regalia information

A package containing a keeper set of regalia is being sent to your home address. It will include a gown, a tam (plus tassel) and a masters or a doctoral hood. This package is complimentary and does not need to be returned to the university. Tassels are worn to the left. Please wear the hood to the ceremony.

Please view the commencement web page for information on regalia for the actual ceremony or call them directly with any further questions.

School of Law Regalia information

2020 candidates: please bring the keeper gown, tam and tassel that was shipped to your home in May of 2020. The tassel is worn to the left. There will be a limited set of extras if you no longer have these pieces. Please contact Angela Dzik in the School of Law if you have further questions.

A rented hood will be provided on May 16. You will receive instructions that morning on hood process during the ceremony. Since the hood is rented it must be returned to the university (Anderson Student Center) after the program. Make sure you turn the hood back at the correct location or risk being charged for a replacement ($75).

2021 candidates: please do not remove the tassel from the tam or alter it in any manner. The tassel is worn to the left. A doctoral JD hood will be provided. The School of Law staff will direct you on its use during the ceremony.

All 2021 candidate reminders: these items are all rented. To avoid replacement fees, please return them to the Anderson Student Center before 3:00 on May 16. Make certain that a bookstore staff member has checked the items in and verify you are all set.
